A new online course of Orthofix Academy is starting on May 26-27: Advanced Pediatric Trauma and Limb Reconstruction Techniques with F. Birkholtz, MD (ZA), J-D. Metaizeau, MD (FR), E. Moulder, MD (UK), J. D. Rölfing, Assoc. Prof. (DK), I. Sanpera, Prof. (ES) and A. Trompeter, MD (UK).

Duration of the course: 4hrs (2hrs each day)

This course has been awarded by the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Learning objectives:
To give in depth knowledge of different treatment options for pediatric trauma and deformity correction, from internal to external fixation, from hardware to software management
To independently plan a treatment pathway for trauma and deformity correction cases with different orthopedic devices
To analyze and discuss preoperative planning, from correct x-ray acquisition to device application
To be acquainted with major treatment complications in pediatric patients, their prevention and appropriate management

Addressees:
Pediatric orthopedic surgeons and orthopedic surgeons with intermediate experience in pediatric trauma and limb reconstruction procedures.
